Here's the thing about hope: it's a bear. No matter how much you try to grab it by the throat, it just seems to rear its ugly head given the first opportunity. It's relentless. It's tirelessly optimistic. And if your hope is not in the One who is endlessly perfect, it will break your heart.

Fortunately for me, my hope is in Him. And things just keep coming up roses. Even if I don't always get what I want.

there must be a story behind your insight into hope! I'm glad things keep coming up roses..........when y ou read my latest little post on my funeral you'll see I'll be coming up roses too.....get it; get it;;; Reminds me of the song, 'everythings coming up roses;;;;;back in the early hours of civilzation, our high school band played that song coming on to the field at half time and after touch downs etc...........i got so tired of that song.

see you kiddo

Guess I'll keep commenting on hope , hoping that you will have time to write something else on your blog. It does seem that hope, along with faith and love, are part of the gift of rebirth that Christians receive . Its part our spiritual DNA which I know we can bury and ignore if we try. They seem to 'abide' though, maybe because they are grounded in God himself.
